Our client near Middletown is seeking a Collections Associate to help with day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for the active collection of Accounts Receivable. This includes regular, ongoing communication with customers and the Finance department for resolving payment issues.

Main Job Duties for the Collections Associate:

  • Monitor the status of all overdue accounts, including loans, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and repossessions
  • Manage and follow up on accounts for collection of full or partial payment of overdue balances
  • Enter updated customer account data into the database and forward as necessary to account manager, service coordinator, and or supervisor
  • Track and report on all call activities as required
  • Follow-up with customers and internal management regarding resolution of customer account issues as necessary
  • Present payment options to customers as appropriate

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm

Pay: $15-$17 per hour based on experience

This is a temporary covering for an employee out on leave, anticipated to be a 3 month position. It is an excellent opportunity for a customer service focused, go-getter candidate. You will work independently as well as part of a team, so you must be comfortable with both.

As the Collections Associate, you should have:

  • At least 2 years of experience with collections
  • Top notch written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; QuickBooks a plus!
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
