Our client in Poughkeepsie, NY, is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join their organization. You will be working with Recruiters and VPs to assist with onboarding needs for new employees.

Who you are: Motivated team player with excellent communication skills and eagerness to better the company and its employees.

Human Resources Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning and conducting pre-onboarding and initial onboarding and benefits
  • Creating employee files and preparing new employee packets
  • Assisting with new employee orientation
  • Answering phone calls and assisting with any questions as needed

The ideal candidate will have both a Bachelor’s degree and previous experience. This is an exciting full time, temp-to-hire position. Pay rate is $17-$19 per hour but may vary depending on your level of experience. The environment is fast paced and requires a candidate that works well under pressure. Recent graduates are welcome to apply!

Human Resources Assistant Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Human Resources – Recruitment strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Top notch communication skills, both in person and on the phone
  • Computer savvy with the ability and flexibility to effectively adapt to new software systems
    • Strong Microsoft Office, including Excel required; experience with iCIMS preferred
