A client of ours in Fishkill, NY is looking for a Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a small, close knit team but they are looking for someone who can come in and bring a fresh perspective. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.

Job duties include:

  • Answering e-mails and taking appropriate messages for legal personnel
  • Acquiring documents for litigation
  • Researching topics for court and preparing documents for court
  • Supporting case preparation and preparing case summaries

You must maintain the utmost level of professionalism and confidentiality in this role as it deals with highly sensitive information. Candidates should be self-starters who are hardworking and willing to learn.

Pay: $17-$18 per hour, depending on experience. The Legal Assistant must have:

  • Minimum of one year experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or Secretary in a law office setting
  • Associates in Legal Studies or Paralegal Certification strongly preferred
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred
